Columbia Admissions Round-up (Class of 2026)
Columbia announced on Thursday they have accepted 2,253 students out of 60,377 applicants, for an overall acceptance rate of 3.37%. Unlike most of its Ivy League counterparts, this is a slight uptick from the 2020-21 acceptance rate of 3.66%, which was the lowest in Columbia’s history.
For the Early Decision round we know that 6,305 students applied but, as per usual, Columbia will not release the exact number of students accepted from the ED round.
Similarly, we don’t expect to find out the percentage of applicants who submitted ACT/SAT scores, or what the average scores were. Columbia has extended its test-optional policy through the 2024 application cycle, citing a desire to have a 4-year cohort of students to compare to previous cycles before deciding whether or not to make the test-optional policy permanent.
Stay tuned in case we learn more about Columbia’s class of 2026, though we don’t expect much else to be released to the public.
