Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EMA has canceled all administrations of the SSAT through May 31, 2020 throughout the world. Unlike the at-home testing options offered by the ERB for the ISEE, there hasn't been any news of possible at-home testing options for the SSAT.

As a reminder, the SSAT stands for Secondary School Admissions Test, and as the name suggests, it is a test used primarily by boarding schools, as well as many private day schools, to evaluate students for admissions purposes. The EMA stands for Enrollment Management Association and administers the SSAT.

For many Ivy Link students applying to boarding schools for the admissions in Fall 2021, the SSAT cancellations through May 31, 2020 will not affect their testing. Ivy Link students will be taking the SSAT in the Fall of 2020 for admissions to in the Fall of 2021. Note that registration to take the SSAT in Fall 2020 will open on August 1, 2020. If your family does not fall into the typical timeline, please contact Ivy Link for advice regarding your testing schedule and applications to private/boarding schools.

Ivy Link will continue monitor and to keep families informed of any important updates regarding the ISEE, SSAT, and Private Day/Boarding school admissions. Schedule a consultation today to learn more about ISEE and SSAT test preparation with Ivy Link. More information from EMA can be found here.
