MIT Class of '27 Admissions Roundup

 
 

It has been another competitive year for MIT! Out of 14,990 applicants in Regular Decision, the school admitted 574 new students, or 3.8%.

For their Early Action round, MIT received 11,924 applications. Of that pool, the university accepted 685 students for an acceptance rate of 5.7%.  

For the Class of 2027, MIT received 26,914 applications and admitted 1,259 students for an overall acceptance rate of 4.7%.

Additional stats:

  • For the Class of 2026, MIT received 33,796 applications. This year’s applications were down 20.4% from last year. 

  • The Class of 2027 was the first class to apply since the test requirements were reinstated.
