On January 30th, Harvard announced that the university will not require ACT or SAT scores for the 2021-22 admissions cycle. With the recent cancellation of SAT Subject Tests by the College Board, submission of these scores is of course optional.

This announcement has been expected, given the number of other Ivy League schools renewing their test-optional policies earlier in January. Yale is now the only Ivy League school holding on to the SAT/ACT requirement. As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, students who have scores to submit should submit them, and students who don’t should try their best to get them. More on why, here.
