Harvard Admission Rate Ticks Up: Class of '28
For the Class of 2028, Harvard admitted 1,937 students from a pool of 54,008 applications for an overall acceptance rate of 3.59%.
To break this down a bit, the university accepted 692 students from a pool of 7,921in the Early Action round for an acceptance rate of 8.74%. In the Regular Decision round, they accepted 1,245 from a pool of 46,087 for an acceptance rate of 2.70%. So, for your best chance of admission, we still highly recommend applying in the Early Action round.
It is of interest to note that, as reported in our Early Action post, early applications were down by 5.14% this year compared to last year’s applications. However, as you can see by the 3.59% acceptance rate, competition is still high for the university.

Harvard has the largest endowment of any university in the world! As of 2021, the university has 53.2 billion dollars in assets. This number has allowed the university to grant over 500 million dollars in financial aid and scholarships to its student body in 2022.
