Duke Breaks Records: Class of '28

This was a record-breaking year all around for Duke! 

For the Class of 2028, the university received a record 47,951 applications in the Regular Decision round. From that pool, they accepted 1,984 students for a record-low acceptance rate of 4.14%. These students join the 806 students admitted in the Early Decision round. In that round, the university received a record-breaking 6,240 applications leading to a record-low Early Decision acceptance rate of 12.92%.

Like we said, breaking records all around!

For comparison, the Class of 2027 had a 16.39% acceptance rate in the Early Decision round and a 4.81% acceptance rate in the Regular Decision round. So the competition was significantly more fierce this year!

The moral of the story is that if you’re planning to apply to Duke, your chances of admission are much higher in the Early Decision round. So apply early!
