Dartmouth College Class of '27 Admissions Roundup
For the Class of 2027, Dartmouth accepted 1,173 students in their Regular Decision round from a pool of 25,832 applications for a 4.5% acceptance rate.
The newly accepted students join the 578 students accepted in the Early Decision round. This year’s Early Decision round saw 3,009 applications showing a 19.2% acceptance rate in this round.
Overall, the Class of 2027 shows 1,751 students accepted between the two rounds from a total pool of 28,841 applications for an acceptance rate of 6.1%.
Looking at this year’s numbers, it’s clear to see that if you’re planning on applying to Dartmouth, Early Decision is definitely the way to go. Your chances of admission in the ED round are triple your chances in the Regular Decision round!
Fun Facts:
As a Homecoming tradition, the freshman class builds a bonfire and runs around it a set number of times in concordance with their class year (so the Class of 2027 would do 127 laps), while upperclassmen cheer them on.
Tea and cookies are served at 4pm each weekday at Sanborn Library, home of the English Department. It is estimated that around 1000 cups of tea are served every year!
