Yale Admissions Round-up (Class of 2026)

Yale has admitted 2,234 students to the class of 2026, out of a record-breaking pool of 50,015 applicants. This brings the overall acceptance rate down to 4.46%, which is the lowest in at least 10 years.

Out of the 2,234, 800 students were admitted in the Early Action round. Yale has also reported that 81 students were matched via QuestBridge in December, and 46 students who deferred their matriculation last year will be joining the class of 2026. In an effort to maintain a high student yield, 1,000 students have been offered a place on the waitlist. This means there are still a lot of variables to shake out before we know the official class size, but we expect it to be somewhere around 1,500.

Stay tuned as we work to gather additional information about the class of 2026, such as average ACT/SAT scores, number of students taken off the waitlist, and more.
