Stanford University: Class of '27 Admissions Stats and 2023 Deadlines

Officially named Leland Stanford Junior University, Stanford was founded in 1885 by U.S. Senator Leland Stanford. The university is named after his son who died of typhoid fever at the age of 15. Located in Stanford, California, the university consists of seven schools: three undergraduate and four graduate or professional schools. The university enrolls 17,000 students and is considered one of the top universities in the world. 

Note: Stanford does not use Early Decision. Instead, they use a process called Restrictive Early Action. As the name suggests, Restrictive Early Action is more limiting that Early Action, however, it is not as committal as Early Decision. This means that prospective students are allowed to apply to other schools in the Early Action round, but may not apply to other schools that use Early Decision. 

Stanford has not released their admissions statistics for the Class of 2027. We have provided the limited public admissions statistics for the Class of 2026. Like several other top colleges, Stanford has not released their complete stats for several years now.
