Stanford to Resume Testing Requirements

Stanford has announced that they will resume their testing requirements for undergraduate admissions. With this move, Stanford joins several other colleges in resuming the test score requirements that were paused during the height of the pandemic. According to an article posted in the Stanford Report, test scores are just one part of a holistic review of candidates that may indicate a student’s potential to succeed at the university.

The testing requirements are set to resume for students applying in the Fall of 2025 or later. For students applying in the Fall of 2024 cycle, test scores are still optional. However, as always, we strongly encourage taking the test and submitting the scores, especially when applying to competitive colleges.
