Princeton Isn't Showing Any Cards: Class of 2028

Once again, Princeton has decided to withhold their admissions statistics. The class of 2027 included 1,366 first-year students, so we anticipate the class of 2028 is roughly the same size. The policy to withhold the statistics began in 2021 when Dean of University Admissions Karen Richardson, wrote in an op-ed for The Princetonian, “Neither prospective students nor the University benefit from the admission process being boiled down in headlines to a single statistic like the admission rate.”

So for now, we can’t give you any specifics. But we hope that Princeton will eventually release their admissions information, as they have done in the past. We will update with more information as it becomes available.

Fun Facts:

  • Princeton has won more Ivy League titles than any other member of the League.

  • The use of the word “campus” (Latin for “field”), to mean the grounds of a college, originated at Princeton.
