Northwestern University Class of '27 Admissions Roundup

Northwestern University has accepted roughly 2,100 students from a pool of about 52,000 applications for the class of 2027. The university has not yet released exact numbers, but according to a statement released by Northwestern, the acceptance rate for this year is 7%, a slight decrease from last year’s 7.2% rate.

This year’s acceptance rate marks an almost historic low, though it matches the acceptance rate of the 2021 admissions cycle. These low acceptance rates show that the university continues to become more and more selective with each passing year.

Fun Facts:

  • Are you a fan of dancing? If so, you’re in luck. Each year, Northwestern University hosts a 30-hour dance marathon for charity. Since 1975, the Northwestern University Dance Marathon has raised over $16 million!

  • The university must have a funny bone because they have sent more people to the Saturday Night Live Cast than any other university. Seth Meyers, Brad Hall, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Anna Gasteyer, just to name a few.
