Founded in 1800 in Middlebury, Vermont, the college is the oldest college of university in the state of Vermont. The college offers 44 majors in the disciplines of arts, humanities, literature, social sciences, natural sciences, and a joint engineering program with Columbia University, Dartmouth College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
