Georgetown University Class of '27 Admissions Roundup

For the Class of 2027, Georgetown admitted a total of 3,263 students from a pool of 25,519 applications leading to a 12.79% acceptance rate. This year saw a decline in applications by 1,151 applicants from last year.

To break this down a bit, the university accepted 2,299 students from a pool of 17,323 applications in the Regular Decision round leading to a 13.27% acceptance rate.

On the other hand, the university accepted 964 students during the Restrictive Early Action round from a pool of 8,196 applications leading to an 11.76% acceptance rate. Keep in mind that Restrictive Early Action, unlike Early Decision, is not binding so the students accepted in this round are not required to attend.

Fun Facts:

  • If someone steps on the Georgetown University seal in front of the Healy Hall, rumor has it that if the person is applying to Georgetown, he or she will not be accepted.  If the person is a student, he or she will not graduate in four years. So don’t step on the seal!

  • There is a robust international community with students from more than 40 countries making up about 17% of the student body.
