Columbia Early Admissions Results for Class of 2027

Columbia has released their Early Admissions results for the Class of 2027. Columbia received 5,738 Early Admissions applications. They have not released the number of admitted students yet. It’s important to note that this year’s application pool is down 9% from last year’s 6,305 applicants. This marks the second consecutive year of Columbia’s application numbers dropping. 

For the Class of 2026, Columbia received 6,305 Early Admissions applications. Of that pool, they accepted 650 students, or 10.3% of applicants. 

If you’ve been following our blog, you’ll know that Columbia has been in the news quite a bit this year. First, they opted out of the U.S. News and World Report rankings. They had previously held the No. 2 position. In a turn of events, U.S. News ranked Columbia anyway, dropping them to No. 18. It’s possible that these news stories have affected Columbia’s application pool. However, they are still a highly competitive school, and we expect that when the admissions numbers are released, the numbers will show that.
